The tower's viewing platform is open from Easter until the end of October. The hikers' hut at the Hessenturm is staffed by members of the Niedenstein Mountain and Heritage Association on Sundays and public holidays from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM from Easter until October. During this period, the viewing platform is open to visitors daily. The Hessenturm is particularly popular with hikers and is integrated into various hiking trails.
